The BRA Group is an industry-exclusive, networking organization for women business owners. The BRA Group was founded in 1992 to bring together women who own their own businesses for the purpose of generating referrals and sharing accomplishments.
BRA stands for Business, Referral Alliance. Members acknowledge referrals from within the group by placing money in a bra. During the meetings, each member is allotted 2 - 3 minutes to Brag about their Referrals from the group and any other Announcements they may have. The bra full of money is a visual representation of the success of the group at giving referrals and supporting one another. The monies are used to fund group activities; otherwise this is a non-profit organization.
Over the first ten years the group has generated over 200 referrals per year for its members.
